On July 9, 2012, John Ward received a Citation from the House of Representatives of the Commonwealth of Kentucky honoring and congratulating him upon having his artwork displayed in the 2012 juried exhibition of the American Academy of Equine Art at the Scott County Arts and Cultural Center Gallery in Georgetown, Kentucky.
