On May 19, 2011, John Ward received a Citation from the House of Representatives of the Commonwealth of Kentucky recognizing and honoring John as a remarkable and highly regarded artist due to his painting being distributed worldwide in the form of prints, posters, calendars, labels and numerous other items and has been commissioned to create a myriad of other nature paintings for various organizations over the past several years.
